In a previous issue of Response (140, pp6-7), we wrote about the case of Ma Van Bay, a deacon from a Hmong church in Ha Giang Province, north Vietnam. We are delighted to report that in the wake of widespread international pressure, Ma Van Bay was released from prison as part of Vietnam’s National Day amnesty on 2 September. Please pray for Ma Van Bay, that he will be able to reintegrate into his church community without difficulty.
