Iran has experienced a year of persecution, with arrests of Christian leaders especially pronounced.
SUNDAY
Loving Father, we thank you for Iran. Thank you that your church there continues to grow. May it not be overcome by evil but instead may evil be overcome by good.
MONDAY
Iran executes more people per year than any other country except China, including many members of religious minorities. Ask God to intervene and stop this.
TUESDAY
Remember those members of the church in Iran that have been detained and interrogated. Pray for their release and protection.
WEDNESDAY
Pray for families affected by arrests and interrogations. Ask God to bring healing from the emotional and psychological impact that these detentions have upon the whole family.
THURSDAY
Pray for the Christian leaders who serve the church in Iran. Ask God to strengthen and uphold them that they would continue to be a bold and courageous witness.
FRIDAY
Lift to God all those Christians who remain in prison. Pray that the Iranian Church would overcome any fear by keeping their eyes firmly fixed on God in all circumstances.
SATURDAY
Pray for peace inside Iran and with its neighbours. Pray that Iran would become a nation where each ethnic and faith group can live in peace with its neighbour.
