CUBA 12/06/2011
We’re giving thanks for the encouraging news we’ve received from Cuba, including the release of Dr Biscet after eight years in prison and asylum being granted for Reverend Lamelas and his family. Continue to pray for other church leaders and pastors in Cuba.
SUNDAY
Father, we praise You and give You glory for the news of Dr Biscet’s release
from prison and the fact that he is allowed to stay in Cuba. We praise You, our sovereign God, that You never left his side and he was always in Your care.
MONDAY
Pray for Dr Oscar Biscet and his wife as they adjust to family life and seek God’s wisdom for their future.
TUESDAY
Give thanks that Reverend Lamelas and his family have been granted asylum in the United States. Pray that God would meet their needs in this time of change.
WEDNESDAY
Pray for the Cuban Government, that they would relax the restrictions they
place on churches.
THURSDAY
Give thanks for the ‘conditional liberty’ granted to Pastor Omar Gude Pérez
and that he is at home with his family.
FRIDAY
Pray for Pastor Gude Pérez as he has been forbidden from preaching and the ‘conditional liberty’ means that he is effectively under house arrest.
SATURDAY
Pray for strength, wisdom and encouragement for Cuba’s church leaders.

As well as your prayers, you can practically support Cuban Christians through Freedom Gifts. For just £15, you can pay for CSW staff to have a 15 minute phone call with pastors and families suffering persecution in Cuba. These calls are a vital lifeline of encouragement and support for them, as well as providing first-hand information to CSW, underpinning our advocacy work.
