Buy a different gift this Easter, and help save Pastor Nadarkhani’s life  28/03/2012

This Easter, you could make the difference of a lifetime: just £20 will help to fund the campaign to save Pastor Nadarkhani from execution in Iran.

Imagine being sentenced to death for your faith

Imagine you’re the leader of a church in a Muslim majority country. Life can be  tough at the best of times, but you’re thrilled to be serving God.

Then you’re arrested on a pretext, and charged with ‘apostasy’ – leaving Islam. A baseless charge, as you’ve been a Christian since you were a teenager, and the court acknowledges that you never practised Islam.

But the case continues, and you eventually learn you’ve been sentenced to death.

Thousands join CSW’s global campaign for Pastor Nadarkhani

This is what happened to Pastor Nadarkhani. He’s on death row at this very moment.

CSW has been urgently campaigning for his release. The campaign has generated a huge international response, which has so far helped to delay his execution. But it could happen at any time, and without any warning, so it’s vital to keep up the pressure.

CSW has mobilised over 72,000 people to lobby the Iranian authorities on his behalf, and spearheaded a global prayer campaign. Our lobbying prompted statements from international politicians and widespread media coverage.

What happens to Pastor Nadarkhani is incredibly important : the outcome of his case could set a precedent affecting thousands of other Christians from Muslim backgrounds.

It’s time to think of a different gift for Easter…

Your gift of £20 will help us to cover expenses such as staff time, and travel costs to raise Pastor Nadarkhani’s case and that of other Iranian Christians at the highest levels of government.

We’ll send you a blank gift card which you can send to a loved one, telling them about the gift you’ve just given. Please help us to continue campaigning for this man’s life.
